REHADAT and its Database "Technical Aids":
REHADAT is an informationsystem supporting the vocational integration of disabled people.
The information is available on CD-ROMs and on the internet. There are more than 80,000 documents and 19,000 pictures in the system.
The contents are organized in 10 databases. The following 5 databases can be searched in English: Technical Aids, Case Studies, Literature, Research and Addresses.
Documenting more than 20,000 products the database contains most of the technical aids for the disabled that are available in Germany. The range of technical aids covers aids for housekeeping, orthoses and prostheses, adapted machines and tools etc.
Not only does it include entries detailing manufacturer, distributor and price, but it also provides technical descriptions and information on the reimbursement of costs by health insurance organisations. Contact details of manufacturers or distributors also contain the e-mail addresses and homepages of the companies as links that can be accessed directly from the database. Many documents are supplemented by graphics and pictures.
This database can be searched in German and English. The descriptions of the products are translated automatically. Links within this texts are no longer available. Model names and picture titles are not translated.
The database is continuously updated.

REHADAT ist ein umfassendes Informationssystem zur beruflichen Rehabilitation behinderter Menschen. Auf CD-ROM und im Internet stehen 80.000 Dokumente und mehr als 19.000 Bilder kostenlos zur Verfügung. Das Angebot ist untergliedert in 10 Datenbanken.
In dieser Datenbank sind fast alle in Deutschland erhältlichen technischen Hilfsmittel für behinderte Menschen dokumentiert. Die Bereiche, für die Hilfsmittel angeboten werden, erstrecken sich von Hilfen im Haushalt über Orthesen und Prothesen bis hin zu behindertengerechten Maschinen und Werkzeugen.
Alle Produkte sind mit Hersteller- und Vertriebsadressen, Preisangaben, technischer Beschreibung und Hinweisen zur Kostenübernahme durch die Krankenkassen dokumentiert. Zur Hersteller- und Vertriebsadresse gehören auch E-Mail und Homepage der Firmen. Sie sind als Links aus der Datenbank heraus aufrufbar. Ein großer Teil der Dokumente enthält grafische Darstellungen und Bilder.
Die Datenbank wird laufend aktualisiert.
