Wege zur Verbesserung der Beschäftigungspraktiken gemäß Titel I des 'Americans with Disabilities Act' (ADA)

Ziel und Vorgehen:

Dieses Projekt untersucht, wie sich Abschnitt I des 'Americans with Disability Act (ADA)' auf die Einstellungspraktiken kleinerer, mittlerer und größerer Unternehmen in der Privatwirtschaft auswirkt und wie diese Praxis im Rahmen des ADA zu verbessern wäre. Es werden Einstellungspraktiken ermittelt, welche die Anwendung des ADA erfordert haben. Es wird festgestellt, wie private Arbeitgeber und Behinderte entsprechend intervenieren können. Das Projekt untersucht Einstellungspolitik und -praktiken, die sowohl die Anstellung als auch die Übernahme behinderter Arbeiter fördern. Das Projekt läuft innerhalb des 'Program on Employment and Disability' an der 'School of Industrial and Labor Relations' der 'Cornell University' in Zusammenarbeit mit der 'Washington Business Group on Health (WBGH)', der 'Lewin Group' und der 'Society for Human Resource Management'.

Abstract

A Four-Year Research and Demonstration Project to Address Ways to Improve the Employment Practices Covered by Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

This project investigates how Title I of the ADA affects employment practices of private-sector small, medium, and large businesses, and ways to improve employment practices covered by the ADA. The research identifies employment practices that have challenged implementation of the ADA, and identifies interventions that can be used by private sector employers and people with disabilities to address these practices. The project examines employment policy and practices that enhance both the hiring and retention of workers with disabilities. It is administered by the Program on Employment and Disability in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University, in collaboration with the Washington Business Group on Health (WBGH), the Lewin Group, and the Society for Human Resource Management.
